At Zoe’s Fancy Cakes, the health and safety of our customers is extremely important, and we have a duty of care to keep you updated on what we are doing to keep you safe when attending classes / our shop.
We are continuously monitoring developments in respect of COVID-19 and are following the advice and guidance of Public Health England.
We have made sure that we have plenty of hand wash and cleaning wipes available at our shop as well as a good supply of toilet paper.
We have increased the amount of time spent cleaning our premises as well as ensuring all staff wash their hands more regularly than normal.
We have created an information poster in our shop to give you advice on how you can protect yourself and others.
Our classes are not deemed a large gathering of people. We operate small classes where ordinarily we have a max of 8 students in attendance.
What we’d like you to do to help us:
We encourage customers to take simple common sense steps to help reduce risk, including using a tissue when coughing and sneezing (not your hands), washing your hands regularly and thoroughly with soap and hot water or using a sanitiser gel and of course if you feel unwell, stay at home and avoid coming to a class / our shop.
We encourage all customers to continue to follow advice from Public Health England and to go online to 111.nhs.uk or call NHS 111 if you think you may have the virus.
NHS guidance on how to avoid catching or spreading the virus, as well as travel and other advice, can be found here:
Unfortunatley we have taken the decision to cancel all of the scheduled class we are running through until the end of April 2020. This is not a decision we have taken lightly but given the way in which things are progressing we felt it was the right choice.
We are aware many of our students travel a great distance to attend classes as well as requiring overnight accomodation, both of which heighten the risk factors associated with the Cornonavirus.
For anyone whom has booked accomodation / rail tickets we would suggest checking with the providers as we are aware that most are now offering refunds given the current state of affairs.
In terms of class fees paid, we can either offer a full refund or a credit note to be used towards a future class here at Zoe’s Fancy Cakes (credit note to be used within a 12 month time frame).
We will be continually reviewing the running of future classes and update all students effected.
We are ever so sorry for the inconveinence caused by this disruption.
We are continuing to take online orders through our website.
Our couriers / postal network have put in place similar measures to our own but we would still advise that all customers wash their hands thoroughly after accepting and unpacking any delivery in line with current government advice.
Please be aware that there may very well be delays to deliveries in countries where there are restrictions on travel and deliveries.
By taking these steps we are confident that we have a safe environment for our customers and staff. We will continue to work in line with government recommendations and further enhance our operating procedures as required.
We will keep you updated if the situation in relation to our shop and running of classes changes.
Thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you soon.
